FREE CHECK · COOKIES & PRIVACY

What fires before the banner.

Paste a public page. It loads it fresh, with no prior consent, and records every cookie set and every tracker that loads before a visitor has clicked anything.

All six checks
RUN IT ON YOUR SITEFREE · NO ACCOUNT

Six read-only checks on one page: accessibility, performance, SEO, console and network errors, broken links, cookie handling. About a minute. Nothing is submitted, signed into, or changed.

WHAT IT LOOKS AT

The questions it asks of the page.

01Cookies set on first load, first-party and third-party, with their names and lifetimes
02Known analytics and advertising scripts that load before consent: GA4, GTM, Meta, DoubleClick and others
03Whether a consent banner renders at all, and whether its own config endpoint answers
04Cookies set by the banner vendor before the choice is made
05Duplicate tag injection, where the same pixel loads twice
06The page's own privacy policy link, and whether it resolves
WHAT IT FINDS MOST OFTEN

From real public pages. No company named.

FOUND
THE CONSENT BANNER NEVER LOADS

The banner vendor's config endpoint returned 410 Gone, so no banner rendered and every tracker fired regardless. Check the vendor account. The site was consented to nothing and tracking everything.

FOUND
GA4 AND DOUBLECLICK BEFORE ANY CONSENT, NO BANNER ON THE PAGE

_ga and _gcl_au set on load with no mention of cookies anywhere on the page. Gate the tag manager on consent, or accept that you are relying on a legal basis you should be able to name.

FOUND
THE SAME META PIXEL INJECTED TWICE

One copy in the template, one in the tag manager. Every event was counted twice. Remove one. Your conversion numbers will halve, and they will be right.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The honest limit.

The check runs from one location. Many sites show a consent banner only to visitors from certain regions, so "no banner" from here does not prove there is no banner in the EU. It does show exactly which cookies and scripts fired for this visit, which is the part you can act on.

INQUIRIES

Questions about the cookies & consent check.

Is this legal advice?
No. It is a record of what the page did on one visit with no consent given. Whether that is acceptable for your visitors is a question for whoever owns your privacy policy.
Where does the check run from?
From our own infrastructure, outside the EU. If your banner is geo-gated, tell us and test from the region that matters, or run it in the pilot with a location you choose.
Does it click "accept" or "reject"?
Neither. It never interacts with the page. It records what happened before anyone could.
THE OTHER FIVE

Every run does all six.

01Accessibility
02Broken links
03SEO basics
04Performance
05Console & network errors

Code review checks the diff. ShipGuarde also checks the running product, so a release does not ship on the hope that nothing broke.
